Be an Idea Factory

One big idea could revolutionize your life (and the world around you). I'm reading an amazing book called “Humble Masterpieces: Everyday Marvels of Design” by Paola Antonelli, curator of Architecture and Design at New York's Museum of Modern Art (I was actually there yesterday and have some interesting photos for you in an upcoming blog). My teammate Gordon Ogden - the man behind robinsharma.com - gave it to me for my birthday (yup, in my forty second year on the planet).

In one of the (little) chapters, I learned of designer Daniel Cudzik. He's the Brave Dreamer who invented the stay-on metal tab that you now see on every single one of the billion aluminum cans made every year. Before his invention, tabs were pulled off and thrown away-creating tons of litter, not to mention hurt feet. One idea changed all that.

Cudzik was watching tv one night with his two kids when the vision came to him (your best ideas will come when you least expect it; most revolutionary thoughts don't come when you are keeping a frenetic pace - they come when you're having fun...so have some fun - good for business...and your soul). Rather than letting the idea slip away (like most of us do), he wrote it down, sketching his plan for the stay-on tab which he then quickly gave to a draftsman. They soon created the prototype. Guess what? It worked. Perfectly.

So be an idea factory. Of course without a passionate commitment to breathing life into your big ideas through near-flawless execution nothing will happen. But your good ideas coupled with a fierce devotion to making it all happen just might produce magic. And magic is good.

Some People Dream of Success... While Others WakeUp and Work Hard At it.

Intended Meaning:

- Dont just keep dreaming of success...take the next step ...start acting on the dream ( as given below - "Work hard At it" )...

Just a word of caution:

- Dont take this quote wrongly and think that you should never dream...

- all great things acheived in this world, started of as somebodies dream, then they worked on it with full faith and created wonders...

- Dont just keep dreaming of success...take the next step ...start acting on the dream ( as given below - "Work hard At it" )...

is the message of this quote....
